AIT Awarded Bombardier Learjet 85 Tooling Contract
AIT AWARDED *BOMBARDIER LEARJET 85 TOOLING CONTRACT
AIT providing all primary and secondary tooling for first all-composite Part 25 business jet
PLANO, TX, - July 20, 2009 Advanced Integration Technology (AIT), a leading factory integration company delivering fully integrated systems to the aerospace industry, has been tapped as the sole provider on the *Learjet 85 aircraft program to design, develop and produce the tooling with which Bombardier will fabricate and assemble all structural components produced in its facility in Querétaro, Mexico.
A midsize business jet that seats eight passengers, the Learjet 85 aircraft is the first all Âcomposite business jet ever designed for type certification under Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 25, creating opportunities for technological advancements and creative solutions.

Leveraging proven expertise from previous major carbon fiber aircraft programs, AIT has developed new technologies and assembly techniques for the Learjet 85 aircraft program. Delivery of the AIT tooling to support a test program as well as production tooling will begin early next year.
