Personnel Security/ Industrial Security Specialist

Advanced Integration Technology (AIT) is recruiting for an entry level Personnel Security/Industrial Security Specialist for our corporate office in Plano, Texas. Responsible for Personnel Security and assist the Contract Program Security Officer in the day to day Security operations and Special Access Programs. This is a multi-faceted security position, responsible to the Corporate Security Manager for the support of multiple programs as it relates to all applicable classified federal, contractual, customer and company requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Personnel security to include processing and submitting SAPIA, PAR packages, Foreign travel, maintaining Personnel Security Records, security indoctrinations, debriefings, annual training, audits, visitor control, and processing requests for investigations
  • Process initial  and periodic security clearances and reinvestigations in JPAS and e-QIP
  • Assist Contract Program Security Officer with investigations
  • Establishing security processes and procedures that satisfy quality, schedule, overall performance, and financial parameters according to both company and customer expectations
  • Additional duties will include assist CPSO with program self-inspection and review of security processes to ensure compliance with NISPOM, JAFAN, ICDs, and other agency requirements.
  • Other security-related duties as assigned
  • Support the FSO or their designee with periodic security self-inspections and report result to senior management
  • Maintain and analyze statistical security data for monthly reports provided to the Director, Corporate Security

Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • HS Diploma required; Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the NISPOM, JAFANs and ICDs or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience as a personnel security specialist or Facility Security Officer preferred
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to include working with customers, employees, management, and security personnel
  • Excellent written communication, report writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task to accommodate deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Action oriented to see projects through completion
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office, Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), and eQIP
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required (investigation within the last 5 years)
  • Knowledge of proper handling of Sensitive Security Information (SSI), Personal Identifiable Information (PII), Proprietary, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and For Official Use Only (FOUO) documents, materials and equipment
